IBMS Congress

IBMS Congress is the biennial biomedical science flagship event in the profession’s calendar. Held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, it is the biggest event of its kind in Europe and regularly attracts over 3,000 attendees each year.

Launched in 2005, IBMS Congress has continued to grow and has more than doubled in size. Lectures, seminars and the exhibition have increased in size and range to ensure that IBMS Congress continues to be regarded within the profession as the most important educational event for the entire workforce; there are learning opportunities for healthcare laboratory workers of all ages and experience. To accommodate its growth there are now over 350 lectures and seminars in 15 different lecture streams held over 4 days.

With over 140 exhibitors, IBMS Congress is seen as the best place for delegates to see the latest products, speak to experts and to get assistance in service development. As well as the opportunity to meet with current and new suppliers, the exhibition and technology workshops offer a glimpse into the future of biomedical science technological innovations. The diagnostic industry sees IBMS Congress as the premier event at which to launch and showcase their products.

IBMS Congress is unique – the programme of seminars and lectures is put together by biomedical scientists for biomedical scientists, making it THE must attend event for the profession.
